WHY: Rodale Institute is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to pioneering organic farming through research and outreach. For over sixty-years, we’ve been researching the best practices of organic agriculture and sharing our findings with farmers and scientists throughout the world, advocating for policies that support farmers, and educating consumers about how going organic is the healthiest options for people and the planet.

Rodale Institute is located on a 333-acre certified organic farm in Kutztown, Pennsylvania, devoted to research, education and certified organic production. The farm is perhaps best known for its Farming Systems Trial (FST), the longest-running U.S. experiment specifically designed to compare organic and conventional chemical farming practices. FST was established in 1981 and attracts interest from scientists, farmers and lay visitors from around the world.
