About PHS

The Pennsylvania Horticultural Society (PHS) is a not-for-profit membership organization founded in 1827. Under the leadership of Jane G. Pepper, PHS provides great events, activities and publications for novice gardeners, experienced horticulturists, and flower lovers of all ages.

Our Mission: The Pennsylvania Horticultural Society motivates people to improve the quality of life and create a sense of community through horticulture.

PHS headquarters is located at 20th & Arch Streets in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Inside are administrative offices, as well as the our library, which houses the most extensive collection of horticultural books in the Greater Philadelphia Region. Click here for directions.
